Leaving for Nevada’s Black Rock desert today to attend Burning Man. Six years ago at this event a well-timed cup of coffee led me to become a daily coffee drinker - an unbroken chain of daily brews that has gotten progressively better and altered my life in ways I wouldn’t have imagined.
While in the desert I will sample as many odd coffee brews as I can encounter, bringing only the most minimal coffee set up for my own encampment (”planning” being the part of Burning Man I’m most trying to avoid this year). I will likely meet up with Brokeback Steve and may improvise some on playa coffee roasting.
When I return from the desert I’ll post a full report. Then I’ll be saying my goodbyes to Seattle for some time and embarking on a new coffee adventure.
