catching up…
Part one of the SCAA post mortem is up on the Victrola blog. Comments are still broken there pending some software surgery, so tonx.org readers can toss out questions, comments, or insults here.

Hey bro! great looking site! You’ve always had an eye for cool design. Drop me a line, ey? Spill the beans, so to speak.
There’s various things happenng here, but my big news is I got accepted to the University of Georgia’s master’s program, department of religion! & a teaching assistantship! Yeeehaw! We’re doing what we can to prepare to move to Georgia come summer –Shamsi can PRACTICE there legally which is a huge boon for her too.
Missing you.
Take care,
YW

About the underdosing: I agree there are absolutely no rules - the ideal dosing amount should change with the blend, brew temp, freshness and flavour profile you wish to highlight. One can even highlight different things by dosing different amounts and running the shot at different lengths… or so I think. Just some very useful moves for the cunning ninja barista.
As for Victrola, I’ve been once last summer, and tried to find you again (by driving aimlessly around The Hill) last weekend, to no luck. BUT, this weekend I may be driving down to Portland, so if I do I will stop in, and let you know in advance. And get your address.
Anyway, keep up the good work with the blog, and more importantly, with the shop! I hear Mark Prince had some nice things to say about your Streamline Blend!! Wicked!
Cheers,
Jimmy Oneschuk
