Rwandan coffee

Coffee and Tea are Rwanda’s biggest exports and a large scale effort by their government, USAID, the PEARL project and others are working to turn Rwandan coffee production towards higher grade specialty coffee. Some fair-trade certification is happening and shade grown and organic coffees are on the near horizon. Several of the coffees we tasted today were remarkable and a couple of them I’ve requested green samples of for possible blending.
